At Castle Hill Counseling, we believe that neurodiversity—including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other unique learning and processing profiles—is a natural and valuable variation of the human experience. Our mission isn’t to change who a person is, but to help them thrive exactly as they are.

We provide comprehensive, individualized support for children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating neurodivergent journeys. Our strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach focuses on deep emotional connection, practical skill-building, robust self-advocacy, and creating successful, accessible environments at home, at school, and throughout the community.

What Does "Neurodiversity-Affirming" Mean?
Historically, therapy for autistic individuals focused on forcing compliance—teaching individuals how to "mask" their traits to make neurotypical people more comfortable. At Castle Hill Counseling, we strictly reject that outdated model.
Our Philosophy:
Being neurodiversity-affirming means we view Autism as a different way of experiencing, processing, and interacting with the world—not a disease to be cured. We focus on adapting the environment, honoring sensory differences, reducing distress, and celebrating natural strengths, while helping the individual build skills that they find meaningful to their quality of life.
