Tom Walsh

Tom Walsh is a Clinical Consultant and Director of Development at Castle Hill Counseling & Consulting. Throughout his career, he has been passionate about helping individuals and families navigate challenges related to recovery, family relationships, mental health, and personal growth. Tom is particularly drawn to working with adolescents, young adults, and families who are facing complex situations and need practical support, clear communication, and a coordinated plan for moving forward. He believes that meaningful change happens when people feel understood, connected, and empowered to take action in their lives.

In addition to his clinical work, Tom plays a leadership role in the growth and development of Castle Hill. As Director of Development, he works closely with schools, hospitals, therapeutic programs, and community organizations to build partnerships that expand access to care and strengthen support systems for families. He is passionate about creating innovative programs, developing collaborative relationships, and helping Castle Hill evolve beyond the traditional therapy model to provide comprehensive, family-centered services. Tom believes that the best outcomes occur when therapists, families, schools, and community partners work together toward a common goal.

Outside of work, Tom enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending Boston College football games, golfing, boxing, and staying active in the community.

My Approach

I believe therapy should be practical, collaborative, and focused on helping people create meaningful change in their everyday lives. My goal is to create an environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves while also being challenged to grow. I combine evidence-based therapeutic approaches with real-world problem solving, helping individuals and families develop insight, strengthen relationships, and build skills that support long-term success.

I also believe that lasting progress often requires looking beyond the therapy office. Whether collaborating with parents, schools, medical providers, coaches, or other support systems, I work to help clients create coordinated plans that address challenges from multiple angles. My style is often described as direct, engaging, action-oriented, and grounded in genuine connection.
