David Smith
David Smith, LCSW, is a Clinical Consultant at Castle Hill Counseling & Consulting. Since entering the behavioral health field in 2016, David has dedicated his career to helping individuals build healthier, more fulfilling lives through self-awareness, education, and meaningful connection. After earning his Bachelor's degree in Communication from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and later obtaining his Master of Social Work from Westfield State University, David developed a diverse professional background that includes clinical social work, behavioral therapy, yoga instruction, life coaching, mentoring, and teaching. This broad range of experiences allows him to support clients from multiple perspectives while tailoring his approach to each individual's unique needs and goals.

Through these experiences, David discovered a passion for helping people recognize their strengths, overcome obstacles, and create lasting positive change. He has worked with children, adolescents, adults, seniors, individuals on the autism spectrum, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. David values the opportunity to support people from all walks of life and is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where clients feel respected, understood, and empowered.

Outside of his clinical work, David enjoys continuing his own wellness journey, exploring mindfulness practices, spending time in nature, and sharing his passion for health, personal growth, and lifelong learning.

My Approach
I believe that every individual has the capacity for growth, healing, and positive change. My role is to help clients better understand themselves, identify their strengths, and develop practical tools that support their goals. I strive to create a collaborative and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable exploring challenges, building confidence, and developing a greater sense of balance and well-being.

My approach is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and education. Drawing from my experiences in behavioral health, teaching, coaching, and wellness practices, I work with clients to better understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and daily functioning. Together, we focus on building insight, resilience, and practical strategies for organization, emotional regulation, focus, and overall well-being that can be applied both in and outside of therapy.
