Jon Elkin
Jonathan Elkin, LMFT, is a Clinical Consultant at Castle Hill Counseling & Consulting. For more than a decade, Jon has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families throughout Greater Boston, helping them navigate life's challenges while building stronger relationships, greater confidence, and a deeper sense of fulfillment. His professional journey began in therapeutic mentoring, an experience that continues to shape his approach and belief that meaningful change happens through genuine connection and consistent support.

Jon earned his Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from William James College with a concentration in Couples and Family Therapy. Throughout his career, he has been passionate about helping people of all ages discover their strengths, overcome obstacles, and create more satisfying lives. He believes that therapy works best when clients feel comfortable being themselves and when the therapeutic relationship is built on trust, authenticity, and collaboration.

Outside of his clinical work, Jon is an avid music enthusiast and DJ who appreciates the power of music to bring people together and express emotion. He is also a passionate reader of fantasy literature and enjoys exploring imaginative worlds and stories that inspire creativity, resilience, and personal growth. These interests often help him connect with clients and create meaningful points of engagement both in and out of the therapy room.

My Approach
I believe that a genuine relationship is the foundation of effective therapy. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive environment where clients feel understood, respected, and comfortable bringing their full selves into the room. Every person is unique, and I work hard to find meaningful points of connection that help build trust and create opportunities for growth.

My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based techniques, mindfulness, humor, play, and family systems thinking to meet clients where they are. Whether I am working with a child, adolescent, adult, couple, or family, I focus on helping clients build confidence, strengthen relationships, increase motivation, and develop practical tools for navigating life's challenges. I believe growth happens when people feel both supported and empowered to take meaningful steps forward.
